The Cathedral Interior

ONE of the defects of English Gothic is the preference of the square east end to the apse. But the Cathedral has an apse and a noble one. Frankly the interior is for the most part large, and little beside—it shows the weakness of English 15th century work, scale but poor detail—but the apse makes amends.
